Floc Tank

The flock tank is simply a 55 gallon open top croc used to let the SURFASOLVE™ clean itself. This tank is for old thickening SURFASOLVE™ and satellite containers that need cleaning. When you allow SURFASOLVE™ time to settle without being agitated the resin and debris have time to fall out and will collect at the bottom of the tank. In this manner SURFASOLVE™ can be recycled 100%.

For the process to work quickly there is a heating band placed at the top of the tank to allow the resin to clean itself of the SURFASOLVE™. It's important to add fresh SURFASOLVE™ to the floc tank, for every gallon of dirty SURFASOLVE™, add one gallon of virgin SURFASOLVE™, this is all that is necessary to keep the material working at an optimum level. In the winter months a band heater on the floc tank is necessary to keep the SURFASOLVE™ working properly.

When using the band heater, make sure the SURFASOLVE™ is at the same level as the band heater otherwise it will not transfer the heat and burn out the heating element.
